Chateau le Puy Barthelemy 2011
- Biodynamic Certified
Region: Cotes de Francs, Bordeaux
Grape Varieties: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Matured in oak barrels for 24 months, without sulphur dioxide or any chemical products. Bottled without filtration.
This vintage expresses the full authenticity of its terroir with beautifully intense and luminous colours of blackcurrants. It has powerful aromas of red fruits. In the mouth, it is like velvet, with rich, well-balanced tannins. It is exceptionally elegant, with persistent after taste, and big, beautiful fresh notes. This is undoubtedly a wine to be kept.
Chateau le Puy Cotes de Francs, Bordeaux, France (Biodynamic Certified)
Since 1610, Chateau Le Puy's vineyards have not been affected by any chemicals. The winery practices ‘ organic ’ and ‘ biodynamic ’ viticulture. They worked on "sulphur-free" wines since 1990 and avoided to add any extra yeasts or sugars. When the time comes to bottle the wines, we ensure that the process takes place in the middle of the lunar cycle and without any filtration. The bottles are corked and protected by a wax seal.
